FEATURED UPCOMING EVENT
Come by and visit us at our upcoming pop up events! Events that we will be attending will be listed below and updated as we confirm dates.
What is Ma-boo-HI?
Ma-boo-HI is an annual event in Sacramento organized by Pau Hana Events.
It celebrates Filipino-Am & Hawaiian culture by bringing the community together and promoting small business, food and a family friendly entertainment.
The word Mabuhay in Tagalog loosely translates as a Filipino greeting, usually expressed as "Mabuhay!" The modern use of the greeting is to welcome guests in the local hospitality industry similarly to the Hawaiian greeting "aloha”.
However its literal translation is "long live".
Ma-boo-HI is a play on words recognizing Filipino-American & Hawaiian culture. Filipino American History Month is celebrated in the United States during the month of October So it’s only fitting that we incorporate some Spoopy Halloween fun.
Where is Ma-boo-HI?
The 2nd Annual Ma-boo-HI event is back in Elk Grove. The location will be at Hungry Pecker Brewing 9251 Elk Grove Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95624
Are tickets free?
Yes, tickets are FREE.
Why do I need to RSVP if the event is free?
In order to help our staff and vendors prepare enough product for everyone to enjoy, your RSVP can provide us with a more accurate number of anticipated attendance. For example, the last thing any of us want is to have an event that completely sells out of food 2 hours into a 5 hour long event.
As an incentive to those who kindly RSVP we will be doing a raffle giveaway which include goodies from our vendors and our friends at the Sacramento Kings who have kindly included two pairs tickets to select Kings games.
Where can I RSVP?
Do I have to be present to win?
Yes. All winners must be present at the event at the time of drawing in order to win any of the raffle prizes. Please make sure to check in at the information booth upon arrival.
